It’s a brand new year, full of opportunities to come spend time and learn with us at Dancing Rabbit Ecovillage. Make your plans now to join us for a workshop or visitor program in 2018! All of our nonprofit’s workshops have special early bird prices, so be sure to register soon if you want to take advantage of them!
 

We have a wide variety of offerings this year - check ‘em out:

• Ecovillage Experience Weekend – This immersive experience offers you tools for living a more sustainable life, plus you’ll learn how to apply your new knowledge and skills at home. This is a perfect opportunity for those who aren’t able to attend a full 1-2 week visitor session.

• Timber Frame Workshop – This hands-on learning experience will provide you with the skills needed to begin your own timber frame building. All skill levels welcome! Come discover the pleasure of creating shelter with hand tools and natural materials.

• Natural Building Workshop – Experience the exhilaration of learning how to build with natural materials! This 3-day workshop will cover different straw bale stacking and pinning techniques, as well as base, rough, and finish plastering methods, both lime and clay based. You’ll also learn different finishing techniques (including texturing and mosaics), tour many of DR’s natural buildings, and learn from seasoned Dancing Rabbit builders.

• Singing Rabbit – Come fill your heart and feed your soul with the magic of community singing! We’re thrilled to be hosting this community singing event, much like Village Fire or Singing Alive, for the first time this year, gathering together people who appreciate the power of singing and community. No matter your talent, age, or skill there’s a place for you at Singing Rabbit. We hope you’ll join us to share song, laughter, connection, and community-building this Labor Day weekend!

• Permaculture Design Course – Swales, edge zones, and stacking functions, oh my! Join us for our 4th annual permaculture design course, and learn how permaculture can enrich the place you call home, no matter where you live. And what could be more exciting than learning permaculture in a place where it’s lived daily? Earn your Permaculture Design Certificate while learning and living sustainability, Dancing Rabbit-style.

And of course, we continue to offer our ever-popular Sustainable Living Visitor Program, with SIX 1-2 week sessions in 2018. Just because there are six different visitor sessions this year, doesn’t mean you should wait to register. Most of our sessions filled up last year, some of them very quickly! If you think you might want to live at Dancing Rabbit, or if you want to live more like an ecovillager wherever you are, our Sustainable Living Visitor Program is for you, so register now!
