Looking for a unique way to visit Dancing Rabbit Ecovillage? Come to an educational event hosted by our nonprofit (CSCC*) or the Milkweed Mercantile (MM)-join us for a one-day intensive or a week-long immersion of hands-on learning! Learn a new skill, meet new friends, eat excellent food, and experience a slice of ecovillage life. Many workshops have Early Bird rates, so register now for the best deal!

Ecovillage Experience Weekend May 25–28 (Hosted by CSCC) 
Here’s your chance to get a taste of life at Dancing Rabbit Ecovillage! This intensive weekend will give you a glimpse into how we live, and new skills and knowledge to take home with you!

Fiber Arts Exploration Weekend 2 June 1–3 (Hosted by MM)
Learn (and practice) weaving, spinning, and dyeing fibers with natural dyes with the friendliest local Fiber Arts group we've ever met. All abilities, from beginner to expert are welcome!

Timber Frame Workshop June 10–17 (Hosted by CSCC)
Get hands-on experience with this ancient method of crafting framed structures of timbers joined with mortise and tenon joints. Contribute to a lasting artisinal barn for Dancing Rabbit's goat cooperative.

Plant the Seed Writing Workshop June 30–July 4 (Hosted by MM)
Join writers Frankie Voeltz and Jennifer Morales for instruction, encouragement, positive critique, and four days filled with words! Our 2017 workshop/retreat sold out (and they had so much fun they came back for a re-retreat in November 2017) so don't wait long to sign up!

Quick and Easy Yeast Bread July 28 (Hosted by MM)
Baking your own bread is not intimidating! Join Alline for this six-hour workshop; you'll take home the knowledge to make many different types of bread, plus samples and recipes. 

Fearless Canning for Beginners! August 4 (Hosted by MM)
Learn safe and delicious food preservation in this four-hour intensive. You'll go home with samples of everything you make, and a full belly because lunch is included too!

Natural Building Workshop August 16–19 (Hosted by CSCC)
Come learn to use natural materials, including straw bales and lime and clay based plasters for sustainable building. Join experienced Dancing Rabbit builder Hassan Hall for this hands-on introduction to natural building.

Singing Rabbit August 31–September 3 (Hosted by CSCC)
Come discover the power of singing in community! Renowned song leaders from around the country will be guiding us in fun, powerful, and transformational songs. This experience will be one of togetherness, thriving, and joy, with skill-share sessions on sustainable community living.

BodyTalk Access September 15 (Hosted by MM)
Tap into the innate wisdom of your body using this safe and effective energy medicine, taught by Angela Johnson, a passionate, compassionate instructor (and resident here at Dancing Rabbit). 

Permaculture Design Course September 21–30 (Hosted by CSCC)
The course will cover the full PDC curriculum, with creative and practical techniques for designing abundant food, water, energy and housing systems, as well as sustainable social structures. Climate change solutions will be a central focus of this very special course.

Music, Meditation and Yoga: A Retreat October 11–14 (Hosted by MM)
Take a few days off to relax and deepen your yoga practice while immersing yourself in the quiet of our prairie location, enjoying great food, and meeting like-minded people!

Making and Using Natural Dyes!  October 26–28 (Hosted by MM)
This workshop will give you loads of hands-on experience using natural dyes, such as onion skins, indigo, marigolds, and many more. The colors will amaze you!
