There’s still time! Restore Your Faith in Humanity
Published: Fri, 12/18/15

Dear Friend of Dancing Rabbit,
There’s still time to make a positive impact on the planet AND your taxes by the end of the year! Please help support sustainability education and research today by making a tax-deductible donation to Dancing Rabbit, Inc.
We know this time of year can be busy, and we wanted to make sure you saw our previous email. For your convenience we've included it below.
As always, thank you for your support!
You know what bugs me? Greenwashing. You know, when a group makes themselves out to be a lot more green than they are?
At Dancing Rabbit, our commitment to research means that when we go out in the world and share what is happening here, we know our impacts are real: no greenwashing here!
This is just one of the reasons I feel so proud of what we’re accomplishing. During my nationwide speaking tour this year I had actual data to back up our claim that we are offering a model that is genuinely, realistically, tangibly better for the planet.
To get the word out about the power of this model, we need your help.
Recently Richard Heinberg, author of Afterburn: Society Beyond Fossil Fuels, wrote on CommonDreams.org:
“Permaculturists, organizations of idealistic young organic farmers, eco-villages like Dancing Rabbit and The Farm, and Transition Initiatives represent what appear currently to be barely visible fringe phenomena. But the folks pursuing these roads-less-traveled deserve our attention and help, because they’re about the only people in the industrialized world who are preparing for the kind of
future that’s actually within our means.”
I agree that we deserve your attention and help, and that's why I’m writing to ask for your support.
You play a key role in our work, as your contributions help us continue to research, to spread the word about low carbon living and ecological sustainability, and offer real solutions to all.
Can you help us touch even more lives?
Everywhere I went this year (from Bellingham to Boise, Chicago to Chico, and Staten Island to Orlando) I found people hungry to take what we’ve learned at Dancing Rabbit and put those lessons into practice in their own communities and households. We met still more of you online through our Facebook page and our first-ever webinar series.
And the feedback has been tremendous. One of our supporters summed us up perfectly, saying:
“Thank you for restoring my faith in humanity and showing everyone that a healthy direction is possible for humankind.”
Let’s keep our mutual commitment to moving the world toward ecological sustainability; let’s keep restoring each other’s faith in humanity.
I’ll make you a deal: if you make a 100% tax-deductible contribution to Dancing Rabbit’s nonprofit today, we’ll keep doing what we do best: influencing an ever-widening circle of people to take action to join the post-carbon transition. In fact, we’ll do it bigger and better than ever in 2016. Your partnership is our number one asset as we do our part to change the world. Together. Thank you for doing your part.
In Community,
Ma’ikwe Ludwig
Executive Director
Dancing Rabbit, Inc.
P.S. This might be the last time you see me sign off as the Executive Director of “Dancing Rabbit, Inc.” Thanks to all of you who made suggestions for the new name for our nonprofit. We’ll choose one of them soon— look for an announcement in early 2016! The new name won’t keep us from doing what we do best: inspiring change. We hope you’ll continue to support our work, and give before the year is out.
