Springtime is fast approaching, and the heat is on! Once again our nonprofit, the Center for Sustainable & Cooperative Culture at Dancing Rabbit Ecovillage, is participating in Give STL Day, which will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2016. Last year we had so much fun together in the Common House, delighting in your enthusiasm for sustainable living with online supporters, and keeping track of our progress! Please mark your calendars and help us shine even brighter this year!

Give STL Day is a big, bold opportunity for us and the nonprofit community. A partnership between the St. Louis Community Foundation and local nonprofits, Give STL Day is an online day of giving, where organizations like ours reach out to our awesome existing donors – and look for new ones – as we educate them about our mission and raise operating funds. Last year we exceeded our goal and raised $5,165, plus another $930 in matching funds! Overall Give STL Day generated a total of $2.1 million for the 790 participating nonprofits.

Local impact with a national twist. Like last year, we’ll be joining more than 100 communities across the country to raise millions of dollars for the greater good—all on a single day.

Everyone can be a philanthropist. On May 3rd, we’re asking everyone to get behind this effort and give. Large and small gifts will combine for big impact—and the right timing can multiply the impact of your gift. Plus there are hourly prizes (some for donors and some for nonprofits), and chances to have your gift matched by a percentage on the dollar, which makes this exciting event rewarding for everyone!

A virtual event with a personal touch. The Give STL Day website makes giving easy, safe and fun. By visiting givestlday.org on May 3rd, you can designate gifts to our nonprofit, the Center for Sustainable and Cooperative Culture at Dancing Rabbit Ecovillage, and help us raise essential support for our educational activities!
