New Speaking Tour — for FIC!
Published: Tue, 05/02/17

Ma’ikwe is back on the train, this time representing the Fellowship for Intentional Community (FIC), for which she is a board member and standing Development Director. She is sharing her new book, Together Resilient: Building Community in the Age of Climate Disruption, which not only looks at the current realities of climate change, but also examines how intentional communities are creating the model for a more resilient future.
Ma’ikwe is traveling coast to coast speaking about her book and offering presentations and workshops. She will be presenting a talk focusing on intentional communities, climate disruption, and cooperative culture, as well as offering a range of
workshops, including: Starting an Intentional Community, Guerilla Consensus, and Building the Skills of Cooperative Culture. The full list of workshops is available here.
Are you a member of a university or community organization, or simply a private citizen interested in scheduling a speaking tour event with Ma'ikwe in May, June, September, or October of this year? Contact climatetour@ic.org with interest and curiosities, or call 907-360-9950 for information about hosting a tour stop. More information can be found at FIC’s official tour page.
If you have connections at a university, community group, or ecological organization, or know someone you think might have an interest in this, you can help by making those connections for us.
Every stop needs an enthusiastic local advocate, and you can be that or help us find that!
